Faith · Family

Whatever role you play in your family or at your job, you have responsibilities you have to fulfill. As parents we have certain responsibilities; our spouse, kids, house chores, shopping etc.

We want to be our children’s hero, and we are. We are their first influence, their first teachers, their first role model and of course their hero/superheros. Superheroes are fiction, how can we be one right? But even superheros have sidekicks, why shouldn’t we?

We moms sometimes think we can be the superhero and sidekick at the same time. Juggling everything on our own; work, kids, after-school programs, house chores, groceries and let’s not forget our hubby.

Ask for help when you need it, from your family and friends. Someone will definitely step in. And if you’re like me, living in a new state with no family or “friend”, then speak with your beloved hubby. Don’t bottle up your stress. Most of all, take it up to your heavenly father. Ask for grace and the strength to carry on your role daily, He will help you.

“Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” Psalm 55:22

  1. Such a powerful and therapeutic words for the mind. It reminds me of the song by Sanctus Real, “we need each other.” Sometimes we all tend to suppress our burdens, not knowing there might be a relief by sharing.
