Kids and Lying

Lying is a learned behavior. Kids learn to change true events to what they think is more or will be more acceptable for the sake of not getting in trouble and being punished.

It is important that we, parents, recognize the behavior early and help the child in correcting the learned behavior. The earlier we correct the behavior, the better. Teach your kids what it means to tell lies and the consequences of it. How it affects relationships, trust in relationships (for now parent-child relationships, friendships), and how it affects personal lives. When they have this wise words in their minds it’ll help them make wise choices now as kids. It will also help them when they get older. Being truthful builds TRUST.

I pray God gives us all the wisdom to impact good in our children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren.
